Virtual Physical Bodies

Virtual Physical Bodies Exhibition
Enghien-les-Bains, nr Paris

9th October 2008 – 11th January 2009

This exciting exhibition explored the question of the virtual/physical body and public spaces, looking at how innovative and emerging technologies can change and modify a new generation body into our real and daily lives. body>data>space collective with collaborators; Michael Takeo Magruder and Ivor Diosi

With the Centre Des Arts, this collaboration proposed to think about various scripts where the body is filmed, imagined, pixellated, modelled and animated into real daily environments – into architecture, the city and this exhibition. Through installations and multimedia displays, this exhibition was a reflection about the body, within live presence, utopia and fantasy.

An accompanying catalogue containing essays and texts from well known artists such as Roy Ascott, Yacov Sharir, Maurice Benayoun and Susan Broadhurst is available to buy.

Images below were taken at the opening night on the 9th of October, where we presented a special ‘skintouchfeel’ performance telematic event.
