Sasha Spasic

Dance / Choreography Creative

Sasha trained at Bath Spa University (BA Single Honours.) Her qualities as a dancer lie within contemporary dance, physical theatre, site specific work and digital media. Since graduating in 2006 Sasha has performed with The Body Cartography Project (Minnesota) and Cheshire Dance in ‘Station Stationary,’ for the Cultural Olympiad covered by the BBC News.

Sasha collaborates with ‘body>data>space’ as a freelance dancer, and has choreographed and performed in Virtual Physical Bodies in Paris, “DARE WE DO IT REAL-TIME?’ Post Me_New ID EU Culture 2007-2013 project and working on the movement based Freeze Events held at the Hide and Seek Festival at the Southbank Centre (2008); Bains Numeriques Festival, in Enghien les Bains in France (2009). More recently she has been working as a creative trainer on the Robots and Avatars Learning Experiences linked to NESTA’s idiscover education programme.

Sasha is the company manager for Anomic Multimedia Theatre, where she is involved in all aspects of the company from performing, choreographing, leading workshops to project management, tour booking and animation. Sasha was the choreographer of Anomic’s first show The sum of it all… and is now researching and developing a new project to be premiered in Spring 2012.
