We are thrilled to announce that RING THE CHANGES+ will be presented as part of the 4th edition of Vo’Arte – InShadow Festival in Lisbon / Portugal on December 6th 2014.
InShadow is a Lisbon-based International Festival of Video, Performance and Technologies. Since 2011 it established itself as a reference in contemporary artistic creation and programming, with a strong emphasis on the convergence of language between body and image through digital technologies.
RING THE CHANGES+ is a digital dance performance created by deaf dance artist Chisato Minamimura with 3 dancers, in collaboration with Nick Rothwell and body>data>space (Creative Producers). It is an invitation to a very mixed audience to experience with their own perception a playful exploration of visual sound, the result of a unique collaboration between dance and digital artists, hearing and non-hearing sensibilities.
If you are a local dancer/performer do not miss the opportunity to take part in a workshop led by Chisato exploring movement through the senses. The workshop is aimed at deaf and non deaf participants and will take place on Saturday 6th December from 10am to 1pm, you can register here
