The Sound Works Exchange Munich is Germany's very first gathering of this German and British sound network. It is a packed 2 day programme for those with an eye on the future, an interest in sound and an eclectic taste.

Live mixing. Software surfers. Sound re-processors. Sonic installers. Remote effectors. Live interactive dance and film, Electronic Mixers

For both general public and professionals, it is open to music listeners and viewers, promoters, presenters, agents, artists, journalists, DJ's, clubbers, record labels , buyers and more, to view work, participate in debate, network and socialise.

The programme offers a snapshot of the diverse range of sound concepts of the late 90's evolving out of Britain and Germany and the exchange between the two countries. Annual exchanges in London in 1994, 1995 and 1996 developed a 31 strong network of German and British composers. Presented in this showcase are network participants from across the 3 years.

The hub of this event revolves around the physical and psychological effects of sound in the context of the role and use of digital technologies for creating and presenting live music. The weekend showcases a range of work including post industrial/minimalist sound, use of digital technologies with dance and with film, performance based sound pieces and an installation project.
