The body>data>space team, led by Ghislaine Boddington in her role as Creative Director of Plexal, spent 18 months across 2016/17 working on creative direction at this new technology innovation centre at Here East in London, curating and producing events and a residency.
b>d>s worked on the centre’s own high-impact launch event, and also inaugurated the Plexal exhibition space with a stunning show from innovators Kinetech, launching their new Nova series.
Kinetech is an East London design studio specialising in foldable aluminium structures, and pioneers kinetic surfaces and sculptural pieces including lights. It was founded by Elod Beregszaszi and Balint Bolygo.
The first creative technology residency – Slave/Master by Brooke Roberts Innovation Agency (BRIA) in collaboration with robot manufacturer KUKA Robotics – with tech and creatives working together in Plexal was also a big success, and premiered at the V&A as part of the London Design Festival.
