body>data>space are off to the Left Field at Glastonbury Festival!!
Thursday 21st – Sunday 24th June 2007

body>data>space alongside Raya are the visual designers for this year’s Left Field tent at Glastonbury. Integrating live video mix with pre-recorded visuals, we will create an immersive and stimulating environment of Left Field consciousness.

Involving materials from the Raya archive, we have been collecting video content with this year’s Left Field festival themes around unity, anti-racism, internationalism, climate change, homelessness, world peace and civil rights. We have also gathered visuals working from some of the Left Field partners such as Ethical Threads, Environmental Justice Foundation, Shelter, NUS, Love Music Hate Racism, Youth Music, Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign, Cuba Solidarity, PCS, and GMB.

body>data>space have also created special new materials for this years Left Field - a series of movement and visual clips around the theme of UNITY captured from dancers improvising with skin, touch and feel. These UNITY clips of human harmony and connectivity will be montaged onto multiple projection screens throughout the tent alongside visuals from key partners of the Left Field.

The Left Field is here to reaffirm the spirit of political debate among festival goers, promoting the value of trade union membership and collective campaigning. Music can make a difference! Among the line up this year are The Beat, Back to the Planet, Lethal Bizzle, Billy Bragg, Jim Bob, The Mentalists, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, and The Noisettes with special guest slot Joss Stone plus one more secret guest still to be announced!
